Hosting
This site runs on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps. When you open a page, your browser sends the technical data every web request carries: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser’s user agent. Microsoft processes this data as my processor (Art. 28 GDPR) to deliver the page and to keep the service secure. I have not enabled any request logging or analytics for this site, and I do not store this data myself.
- Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is delivering this site reliably and securely.
- Retention: governed by Microsoft’s Products and Services Data Protection Addendum.
- Transfers outside the EU: the site’s content is delivered from locations around the world, so this data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Microsoft participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and offers the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Display preference
If you click the light/dark switch, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so the next page opens the way you left it. It is set only when you click, it stays on your device, and it is never sent to me or anyone else. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it.
Links to other sites
Links, for example to LinkedIn, load nothing until you click them. Once you do, the privacy policy of that site applies.
If you write to me, I use your address and message only to reply (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and delete them once the conversation is done, unless the law requires me to keep them. My email provider processes the message to deliver it.
Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21). Write to the address above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian data protection authority:
